It's extensive menu offers a delicious variety of steaks, seafood, chicken and authentic Indian curries. Owners, Holly & Ken Singh have many years of restaurant experience. Ken, having originated from India, comes from a small village in the Punjab known as Thandian, his passion for cooking is evident in the recipes he has perfected for his patrons. His experience in Indian cooking allows Thandi's to offer "made to order" dishes that give customers the opportunity to order curry to their liking. Try Thandi for a great dining experience – you will not be disappointed! Thandi’s opened their doors at 33 Canterbury in May of 2006. The original building was constructed in 1878 after the Great Saint John Fire. In its early days it housed a printing press, namely, Lingley Printing and became an antique store in the mid 1900’s. In 1994 the building was purchased by the Grannan Group and was renovated into a beautiful Italian Restaurant – Il Fornello’s, which later changed its name to D’Amico until it was purchased by the Singh Dining Group. |
